About Kiganga Katutuwa Foundation
Kiganga IC is a private investment club based in Nambo, Waliko, Iwemba, Bugiri District, Uganda. It is operated by and for members of the Kiganga clan and the Kabututwa family, together with their associates. The club was set up to help members save money collectively, invest those savings in income generating assets, and access fair credit to grow their businesses, provide financial literacy to the community, and above all to create a channel for steady generational growth to the community and Uganda at large.
Our Founder
Kiganga was founded by Mr. Calvin Simon Waibale. He established the club to give members of the community a structured way to save together, invest together, and support one another financially through accessible, fairly priced credit.
"Kiganga IC exists to give our members a practical, organised way to grow their savings and access fair credit, so that the community can build wealth on its own terms."
— Mr. Calvin Simon Waibale, Founder
What We Do
Members of Kiganga contribute regular savings into a shared fund. The club invests this fund in asset management products, including unit trusts, to grow members' collective savings over time. Kiganga IC also provides loans to its members at fair interest rates, comparable to those offered by a SACCO, to support business growth and other productive needs.
Our Impact
Kiganga IC contributes to financial inclusion and economic self-reliance in the Busoga region and across Uganda. By organising savings, investment, and lending around clan and family ties, the club gives its members practical tools to build income and reduce dependence on external support. This model demonstrates how organised, community-led saving and investment can serve as a driver of self-sustained economic progress at a local and national level.
Looking Ahead
Kiganga IC continues to grow its membership base, savings pool, and investment portfolio, while maintaining fair lending terms for its members. The club remains focused on its founding purpose: helping members of the Kiganga clan and Kabututwa family save, invest, and access credit in a structured, sustainable, and fair way.
